These photos were taken of the tornado aftermath in Joplin, Missouri. They display a scene of gloomy weather, lack of sunshine and barren trees- yet someone took the time to paint them in bright colors and make a place for the birds to feed. I love that! Making something beautiful out of tragedy.

Trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. Featuring travel photography on the Las Vegas strip and Hoover Dam. Casino signs from the Neon Graveyard Museum.

Being a wedding and portrait photographer is definitely what I love to do. But I also have a huge passion for travel photography. When my husband and I traveled to Spain last fall I took about a thousand photos! One of the most amazing things about Spain is the architecture- so old and beautiful. I quickly noticed the vast array of doors in every city we visited. Not one door was alike, but each a unique style. I began photographing the old doors with plans to create a collage and hang it in my office as an art piece (which I still have yet to do!). I’ve also been meaning to post these photos for several months now, but with the chaos of life I am just now getting the chance. I value photography simply because it takes me back to a time and place that can otherwise be so easily be forgotten. Enjoy!
